Sales Director Benelux (m/f/d)

The Sales Director Benelux is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding Rovema’s market presence across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. This role provides strategic leadership to the regional sales organization, with a primary focus on the sale of new packaging equipment, including both stand-alone machines and turnkey packaging lines. In addition, the Sales Director supports the commercialization of second-life solutions, such as retrofitted packaging systems.

Key priorities include strategic account development, pipeline generation, and the consistent execution of commercial excellence initiatives.

The Sales Director translates global strategy into effective regional execution, builds and leads a high-performing sales team, and further strengthens Rovema’s positioning as a premium provider of packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Responsibility for New and 2nd Life Machine Sales: Maintain and enhance relationships with key customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Establish and execute regular customer visits. Oversee complex negotiations
  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy with a focus on building and expanding a robust network
  • Market Expansion: Lead efforts to penetrate new markets and industry. Tailor market entry strategies to the unique economic and business environments within the region. Identify core industry segments and actively approach them
  • Commercial Strategy & Growth: Define and execute a Benelux growth strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop: 2 Regional Sales Managers (machines and turn key lines), 2 Sales Engineers (second-life solutions), 1 Marketing Support employee
  • Establish a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and accountability
  • Ensure strong collaboration between sales, engineering, and marketing
  • Key Account & Solution Selling: Personally manage and grow strategic key accounts, Lead complex, consultative sales processes, especially for turnkey solutions, Position Rovema as a solution partner, not just a machine supplier
  • Drive cross-selling between new machines sales and Life Cycle Services
  • Market Development & Positioning: Strengthening Rovema’s brand and market presence in the Benelux region
  • Work closely with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and lead generation
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Represent Rovema at industry events and customer engagements
  • Operational Excellence: Deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting, Optimize sales processes, tools, and CRM usage, Ensure profitable deal structuring and margin control
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, service, HQ) to ensure successful project execution

Key Requirements

  • Proven track record sales of packaging machines and turn keylines (> 5 yrs)
  • Extensive network in the packaging or food industry
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions / turnkey systems
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth in a regional leadership role
  • Experience managing and developing sales teams
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial engineering and management, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Market knowledge: in-depth knowledge of the Packaging Machines market, including economic, cultural and business landscapes
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Excellent leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Skilled in consultative and solution-based selling
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and high-value deals
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. Preferably also French and/or German
