Head of Operations (m/f/d) - ROVEMA North America

ROVEMA North America, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, is the wholly-owned North American subsidiary of ROVEMA GmbH — a global leader in packaging machinery engineering founded in 1957. We design, sell, and support industry-leading vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) baggers, cartoning systems, and end-of-line packaging solutions for consumer packaged goods producers across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets. With over 2,000 machines installed across North America and a reputation built on German-engineered precision, ROVEMA is a trusted partner to many of the world's top CPG brands.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to serve as the operational backbone of our North American business, ensuring operational excellence, process efficiency, and scalable growth across all operational functions.

The Head of Operations is responsible for leading all operational functions across the North American business, including service, shipping, purchasing, inventory, and shop floor operations. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ensuring operational efficiency while building scalable processes to support business growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will drive performance across the organization while managing a team of experienced departmental leaders.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee all operational functions including service, shipping, purchasing, inventory, and shop floor
• Lead and develop a team of managers across each operational area
• Ensure alignment across departments to support business objectives

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

• Own inventory performance including cycle counts, accuracy, and turnover
• Improve processes related to inventory planning and spare parts management
• Manage inbound shipments, particularly coordination with Germany

Shipping & Logistics

• Oversee all shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Address challenges related to international shipments and customs coordination
• Improve scheduling and logistics processes

Process Optimization & Execution

• Evaluate and improve operational workflows and business processes
• Address scheduling conflicts and drive better cross-functional coordination
• Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability

Performance Management & KPI

• On-time delivery
• Inventory accuracy and cycle counts
• Adherence to production and shipment timelines
• Service response performance

Global Coordination

• Collaborate regularly with operations teams at ROVEMA GmbH
• Align North American operations with global standards and processes

Eduacation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in operations leadership
• Experience in capital equipment, packaging, or manufacturing strongly preferred 
• Experience managing service/aftermarket operations strongly preferred.

• This role is based on-site in Norcross, Georgia. The position requires a regular on-site presence and involves minimal travel. Occasional interaction with global teams and suppliers is an integral part of the role.
